- Set a timer for fifteen minutes
- Write one short story
- Do it every day
That's it. Fun, easy, and a great way to test out all those fascinating little story ideas that are always popping up in your mind. I don't care how busy you are, you can find fifteen minutes a day to do this.
After I write these stories, I go back and correct spelling and punctuation so that people can actually read them without tripping over their eyeballs. You wouldn't have to do this, unless you wanted to start your own flash fiction blog. If you do, let me know. It would be fun if we could get a lot of these going.
My other internet resources for writers include Aloha Young Writers, a weekly blog with writing tips for teens, and The Scribblers Cove.
Keep writing!
